The are looking at purchasing a house that was built in 1990. The exterior is made of masonite hardwood siding. We looked it up on the internet and found there were several class action law suites against this product. Someone told us their used to be made of asbestos! There are some wide gaps in between the joints and there appears to be some warping. Should we scrap it and perhaps stucco the Austrian style house. Or should we use stucco board? Do you think we should just plug up the joints with...? or not worry about it at all?
