Masonary Walls - Cutting

Posted by John Fust on October 11th, 2000 01:47 PM

Anyone know the best way to cut into a brick retaining wall? I need to cut out 3 rows of bricks in a section of a retaining wall in order to put in steps for a walkway. I started chipping at the mortar with a chisel, but it will take a long time and cause very sore arm muscles before I'd be done. Would a masonary cutting blade on my skill saw do the trick? Or is there some other slick way to accomplish this?
