low water pressure

I rent an apartment at a duplex and I have city water. The water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom sinks is wonderful, but the tub/shower water pressure is seriously barely a trickle. To fill my tub for a bath it takes almost 10-15 minutes. In the last month it has gotten worse, and showering is no longer really possible because there isn't enough pressure to force water out so that it hits your body; the water trickles straight down from the shower head. What could be causing this and/or what can I do to fix it? Thanks for any help you can give me.
