Janitrol is available from many plumbing/heating/HVAC suppliers. They provide the equipment at a competitive price. Components, such as the compressor, are the same as used by many other brands. There are more or less careful practices. Air left in the lines or flakes from brazing can shorten the life of the unit. Not changing contactors or ignoring service for long periods can kill a compressor prematurely. It is not the unit alone, but the care taken to install and maintain it, and some luck, that are the determinant of longevity.
