log splitting

Posted by rob ruel on November 22nd, 2001 02:23 AM

I have a Longwood dual fuel series VII furnace. I have used it for two seasons and have concluded that it performs at its best when I use a 48" log rather than smaller sizes. Do you know of any log splitters on the market that can accomodate that size log? I have looked @ Grainger, Northern, local farm supliers and rental companies and have come to the conclusion that I will have to build one specific for my needs. If this is the case. Can you recomend any suppliers. I like everyone else am on a tight budget.

Thank you for all your help.
