we live in a 1920's log home, the logs on the inside are finished with something nobody's figured out quite how they did it. it kinda looks like a thick stain (like a glaze) over a white paint. it's kinda transparent but its dark brown??? now heres my question, I recently was given a coat tree it was pretty grimey after cleaning it up i realized it has the SAME finish as our logs, was this popular at one time? I would love to know how to do it!
