Load Bearing Wall I removed

I opened a space of about 5'4" on a load-bearing wall, which had a small door that was about a quarter smaller then a regular door that enclosed the pantry area before I realized it was a load-bearing wall. The beam seems to be 4" square. The wall starts at the out sidewall and moves into the pantry space. With a Post at the outside wall termination point would this make the 5'4' opening able to bear the load? The wall runs for about 25 feet. If I place a post on the inside of the outside wall under this beam my next post, which is a 2 x 4, is at the 5 feet measurement and of course 2 x 4 follow to the opposite termination point. Will the beam be able to bear the load with this amount of open space?
