here, Tony, I just wanted to add that this is especially common to newer outlets that were wired using the "push-ins," instead of the screw terminals. Moving the outet creates a weak spot in the wire where the push-in clamps it down, and it snaps off flush with the back of the outlet.

If that is the case, strip the wire back a little & use the screw terminals to re-attach it, and be sure no bare wire is left sticking out of the push-in on the back.

Never have liked or trusted those push-in connections where it came to receptacles.
