Listing Brick Steps

Posted by P.K. on June 16th, 2002 07:50 AM

My side brick steps leading out of the kitchen are listing 4" to the left (3 standard steps high). It appears that over the years, the soil foundation under them has sunk. The steps come off an elevated concrete pad and follow the side of the house to the ground. They are not attached to the house and are in good condition. Other than dismantling them and starting over, is there a way I can "jack" them up? Yes, I'm looking for an easier way to deal with these steps for now. The entire area on the side of the house needs to be dug up and re-done, but my wallet is still smarting from the kitchen remodel. Thanks for any input.
