I am in the process of removing linoleum from a hardwood floor. I have tried the adhesive remover and found that it did not touch the adhesive used (although I did not wait the suggested 45 minutes) I did find that a good carbide paint scraper did remove the adhesive if I removed all the paper backing from the linoleum. It works, but takes a lot of elbow grease. The best solution I have found is to soften the linoleum with a heat gun to remove the linoleum and backing and then use the heat gun again to remove the adhesive. It takes about the same amount of time as using the paint scraper but it less tiring.
