If 10ga wire were rated for 35 amp, it would be installed as such. Running 35 amps through a 30 amp circuit will make it run hotter and promote accelerated insulation breakdown. I wouldn't do it.
However, If the 35 amp draw is only momentary, then you should be ok with the existing setup.
What are you running on the circuit?
