Lennox furnace not staying on

My Lennox gas furnace does not stay on. The house is only staying around 67 degrees. I do not believe this is a thermostat issue. Is there a shut off on the furnace that keeps it from overheating? I believe the furnace is original equipment to the house so that would make it 43 years old. It may just need replaced. Thoughts?
