OK, we have a basement that leaks and after the rain the water sits on the basement floor until either we push it in to the hole where the sump pump is or it drys up on its own. there are cracks in the walls but no mildew anywhere. We got our house appraised and they said that we need to drain the water away from our house and water proof it. Is this something we could do ourself? and will we ever beable to get rid of our sunp pump? Also he mentioned something about maybe needing to get it escavated?? Any imput would be helpful. thanks! please e-mail me
