We recently pulled up the carpet in a room to install wood floors. I noticed that the tack strip in one corner of the room looked dark as if it had water damage. It rained last night and we learned it does leak. It comes under the floor boards. We went outside and pulled away the grass from the bottom of the wall and noticed it's chipped away or has eroded. I believe this is where the water comes in because the rest of the wall is perfectly fine. My question is can we just throw some cement down there or should I take the drywall off the inside to be 100% sure.? And if I can't just throw down cement what should I do? Thanks for the help
