I hired a plumber to install a shower line in my existing bathtub, after he finished installing the shower he capped off the old shower line that was separate from the bathtub, he wanted to go under the house to cap off the shower pan drainfor an extra $35.00 so I agreed, when he was under the house he said he found trouble under there. He told me that my bathtub/shower drain had a leak, and if I didn't get it fixed the least that would happen is it would form mold and that the worst that could happen is the house could sink, I want to know if there's any truth to his senario or is just milking me for more money? also he asked me if I wanted a free estimate from a 24hr water damage crew, it's obvious that I feel like this guy is trying to swindle me out of more money, what to you think?
