I have a 4 HP Sears and a 5 HP Troybilt unit. The Sears works well on branches, dry oak type heavy leafs, but with the screen installed will clog on wet and fine type leafs. Without the grate/screen it iworks very well, but the leafs come into the bag whole.
The Troybilt works well on wet leafs, all kinds, but gets clogged with small branches and if the layer is very thick. One has to proceed slow then and unclog the intake often. Both are worth the money! I chip the leaves fine so I can use them on the flower beds.
I wanted to buy an 8 HP Troybilt, but they do not make it anymore. Does anyone have a new one for sale?
