Lead Paint Removal

Posted by Eric Stoddard on January 20th, 1998 09:09 AM

I understand that removing lead paint should be done carerully. My problem is that I have been removing it without the necessary precautions. After I scraped the paint from the would I would use a sander. This I am assuming spread dust around that most likely had lead in it. When I removed the lead paint from the wood surfaces paint chips were on my rug.... Then I used a vacuum to clean up... You get the point.. My question is this.. Is my house contaminated with lead Paint? My wife is pregnant is she in danger? Am I? Your thoughts are valued... I look forward to hearing from you.
