Laundry faucet sucks air

I noticed that my faucet in a laundry room sucks
air. When I close it by my palm I can feel
suction. I even put a pot full of water and let it suck and it all went up the faucet. A gallon fo water in 5 minutes! Anyone knows what is going on?
