Laminate Table

We have seen a large dining table and 6 chairs all in highly polished black laminate. It was in a sale reduced from 4750.00 to 1000.00. This was largely because the table has a glass panel in the middle which was broken. This did not concern us too much, as the table is just what we have been looking for, and even purchasing another piece of safety glass we are still getting a bargain. What does concern us is there are some fine scratches on the laminate top. These cannot be felt but can be seen when looking across the table. Also, one of the corners of the table has been dented. Is there anything or anyone we can get to repair this or if we bought it would we have to live with these defects.

I would be grateful for your comments
