laminate flooring over rigid styrofoam

I am remodelling my basement and am thinking about a laminate floor in the planned bathroom, hall, storage closets and kitchen areas.

I currently have a concrete slab and I would like to get some insulation between the slab and the flooring. And I want to do this without eating up too much headroom so I am thinking about rigid styrofoam boards glued to the slab. They would be a maximum of 1" (to save headroom) and even thinner if the r-value is still there. I am not contemplating sleepers at this point.

Does anyone have any advice on this idea?
