laminate flooring and quarter round question

Posted by sarah on June 4th, 2000 01:33 AM

just had formica brand laminate installed in the kitchen. the quarter round floor board is about one to two millimeters atop the planks. Can I filled this gap? with what material? How about a silicon sealant?
Mind you the gap is not the 1/4 inch at the edge of the plank, but rather a gap between the top of the planks and the bottom of the quarter round floor board.
I'm afraid that if I leave this gap opent it will eventually filled with dust and debri.
Any help would be appreciated.
