Good afternoon from Jacksonville, FL.
We have a house that was built in 1976. The sq footage of the house is 2,800. However, for the size of the house, the kitchen has a galley design. In the next several weeks, we are buying new appliances and cabinets. Our intentions were to remove the wall where the sinks is, and making it into a bar and or an isle. However, the wall is a load bearing wall. The kitchen's celing is 8 ft. When a person is leaving the kitchen they enter the living and dining room combo, and this celing is a catheral celing. We are in search of a kitchen design with a load bearing wall that is supported and has a bar area and or an isle.
