Kitchen Tuneups

Franchises and others that offer "kitchen tune-up" and similar services do for cabinets what detailing does for autos. Typically they clean exterior surface areas, and (sometimes) replace missing hardware for a flat-rate fee. If any refinishing or colorizing is needed, it may be an additional cost.

Anyone can duplicate the services performed, and a small assortment of furniture repair pens and sticks will take care of most cosmetic problems. You have to decide though if the better resolution is to reface, since the tune-up method only preserves the existing scheme, it does not change it in any appreciable way.
