kitchen tile removal

I just removed all the tile in my kitchen. All I used was a small putty knife and a hammer. I slid the putty knife behind the tile and cut through the grout/mastic with it. I had no broken tiles when done. Once the first tile is gone, the rest come easier, as you can get to them from the side, rather than from the top. I then used a product called Caulk-be-gone to remove the remaining mastic from the wall. It is a green slim type of product which is much less harmful than other caulk and mastic removers.
