In reply to how to clean wood stained doors? by linda on February 27th, 1999 06:32 AM [Go to top of thread]

Linda, Simple Green is the best all around cleaner we have found. As far as scratches on your woodwork, this is difficult to answer as there are so many different kinds of moldings and finishes. If you have stained wood trim, Minwax makes a marking pen stain that will hide light scratches and is a good place to start. Rub it in with your finger.

If you have grease and dirt really ground into your bifold doors, you might have to take them off and outside, then wipe them down with acetone. But, again, there are so many degrees that it is difficult to say for sure without seeing it or a really good written description from you.

Hope some of these hints help and happy to try to give you more if you can be more specific.
