Deanna, this may seem strange to some, but not to others.

Do you not like the idea of throw rugs on top of carpet or throw rugs on top of vinyl?

I can personally think of a few pro's and con's of having carpeting in a kitchen, however if you are a regular kitchen cooking person, maybe the carpet idea is not for you.

The vinyl is very user friendly and easy to clean. you can also use throw rugs in areas that you stand in allot for warmth. i would strongly suggest that if you do lay down vinyl that you do use the squares in lieu of sheet. You can mend squares but not sheet.

It is very easy to lay down and with some helpful hints from us, we can walk you through it easily.

Let us Know,

Have a good day.
