I live in a 50 year old country home. The one room that really needs updating is the kitchen. I do not have any extra money to reface kitchen cupboards. I was sitting having my coffee one morning and I came up with an idea. I was wondering if this might work. I thought that I would reface or cover my cupboards with wainscotting and make some new doors. Stain the wainscotting or paint it to give it a country feel. However, I have tried to find door patterns on the internet and have had no luck. I really don't know what else to do. These cupboards already have lots of paint on them, so to paint them again would not really work, unless I strip them down to the bare wood. Any ideas?
