Hi Julie,

I have had some experience in stripping cabinets.
The best stripper I have used is stripeze. It is like a paste that you apply with a brush. I suggest that you take the cabinet door off the wall and try stripping the inside (if painted) first. I have found alot of old kitchen cabinets were made of pressboard or several different types of wood. If that is true with you then the best thing is to just repaint them. Stripping cabinets requires alot of time and work, but can be worth it. Good luck and let me know how you make out if you can.
