Poorly designed ductwork. Check your duct and see if there are dampers on it that may be closed off. If you don't have a heat vent in the laundry room, run one. If your laundry room has a solid door on it, leave it open or put something in the door that will allow return air to come through.

If you don't have dampers closed off, you can run another vent in the kitchen. I would suggest taking it off of the main plenum since your duct system may leave much to be desired.

Then again, if you want to do it right, you could have a qualified HVAC person come in and give you an estimate on making repairs to your existing duct system or installing a properly designed duct system.
