I seen brass kick plates at Ace hardware and other places. They are only about 6 to 8" wide so you would have to stack a few to go half way up each door and it wouldn't be cheap. Go buy a piece of plexiglass (after fixing the finish) at the hardware store. Probably about 10 bucks per sheat. Then use a screw in each corner when you put it in. Drill the plexiglass and and use screws and small washers that match your hinges. Good luck.
