Kenmore Dryer...REAL HOT and not running

Posted by LisaP on September 19th, 2000 03:21 PM

I threw a blouse in the dryer this morning and after it was done turned off the dryer and took it out. The Dryer did not continue to run, but a few hours later I went in the Laundry room and the Dryer was extremely hot all over. The dryer is old (about 20 yrs). It seemed like the heating element didn't turn off? Should I get it repaired? Help?? What is going on?
