To Whom it May Concern,
We lived in our house for 5yrs. now and would like to see our basement wet free! Unfortunately, this problem was not new, it happened to the previous owner also. Anyway, the water continuely comes in at the back of the house. Our front is has more lawn (a Hill) our back is flat. To start out we dug the whole back portion of the house near the wall down 7ft. no footings! only clay! portions of cinderblocks were missing we conceted the whole back (especially the chimney)4" thick. still water it came up under the floor. then we created a french drain to keep the water away from the house. MORE WATER than ever before. We are very frustrated!! Our drain spouts go back there, we thought if we redirected the drain spouts to the front it might work, but we did not get a chance because of more rain. The next step was to dig the basement floor up along the back wall to put a sump pump in! Is there any help you can give us? We are desperate to have a dry basement. Please contact me at this email address. Thankyou for your time.
