Most people use flex pvc dryer tubing that connects right to the back of the dryer, so I doubt if your pvc is going to burn up unless your drying cloths soaked in gasoline.. in that case you,ll need a new house. Another thought is that I would use flex dryer hosing on the back of the dryer so you can move the dryer a little for mantenance ( cleaning ect.) without disconecting the vent pipe. and I guess your using 2X6 wall studs because 4" pvc isn't going to work with 4" studs.
