Again the key is to make sure you have a solid, sound subfloor. If you use a high quality motar to set your tile in, such as TEC 345 latex modified thinset motar, you will have no problems with using the luan. But be sure you follow the tile and motar manufacturers' recommendations as far as the subfloor recommendations!
