Carol, I have a Janitrol furnace and have been very pleased with it. There is no doubt that you can spend a lot more for furnaces with a lot more features. I chose not to.

The only problem that I do have is that the "flame sensor"--what formerly was known as a thermocouple or at least did the same basic job--does seem to go out regularly. They are easy to replace. I a couple and store them in the burner compartment. They seem to last 2-5 years and you will hear the gas valve click often if you are having a problem. Have the installer show you how to replace them. The last ones I bought were under a dollar each. The amount of dust, dirt, and humidity in your air seems to be factors in their life span.
