Jacking a house to level floor part DEUX

Thanks for the good insight, I also thinking of jackign my capecod with crawl space. It seems the stairs is causing the center of the house to sink making very noticable slopes upstairs. In fact in one bedroom up stairs - one cannot sleep due to the drop. I removed all the plaster and lathing and awaiting to replace them with drywall. I figuring add another grider 6x6 to support the joist under the stairs, jacking it up until level and then using two jack stands on 2x2 slabs. I would appreciate any suggestion and comments. BTW - we contacted a house jacking company, and they are suggesting 2500 and building full brick pillars. Thanks.
