(Robs wife, don't read this next part.) Turn up the heat. Even though the air is 60 degrees the floor is probably 10 - 20 degres cooler. Also sounds like either the brightener wasn't dry enough the stain wasn't dry enough or the poly wasn't stirred enough or the one of the three products were old or didn't like working with one of the other products. Sooner or later the stuff is going to dry. When it does, make sure it has sufficient time to cure than sand lightly and reapply another coat of poly, maybe trying another kind of poly this time. I have had this happen to me, its like epoxy, if the two parts aren't stirred well enough it will just sit there and smell bad.
