Its actually a system of air movement

I put in one soffet vent every four foot on center.

Then I make sure that no insulation of barrier is blocking the soffet area to restrict the air from moving in and moving out through the turbines.

I used to have a formula that showed for every 10 degrees you reduce the attic temp, the interior will be so many degrees cooler automatically.

Soffet vents and a proper amount of wind turbines will create a system that will bring in new fresh air and will remove the old hot air. They both work in tandem with each other.

I have a small house, its about 1600 sqft, I have two turbines on my roof with non restrictive soffet vents all around, its a hip roof.

The temperature set automatic power turbines are very nice and they really work great, but they are pretty expensive. They will pay off quickly, but you still have to have soffet vents.
