Greetings Trevor,

Legal problems should not be a factor. Always check with your local Building Inspector to see what he/she has to say about your project.

Now for the problems!

By using rough cut lumber, you may throw off all the other componants of the construction.

In the long run I believe it will end up costing you more.

Why do you want to use rough cut lumber?

Do you own a forrest?

How do you plan on milling the lumber?

What type of drying facillity do you have?

Are you planning to expose the wood?

Please post back with why you would want to do this!

Good luck,
