Corregated is actually the best and one that will leak the least. Normally it comes in 28 inch widths designed for 2 inch over lap on each side. So it spans 24 inches.

use those squiggly wooden forms to brace and craddle the corregation on the roof joists.

Use those special zinc coated nails with the rubber washers attached for nailing. Seat the nail so that the rubber washer squashes a bit.
I do not nail in the valleys, I nail in the mountains.

Be sure your bitter end rests on a joists and the new run over laps going down hill.

Really not a problem doing this.
