Ironing, Scraping and De-adhesiving

If that's a word....
Our arms and hands are quite tired from scraping with little result...we were looking for an easier way to get the gunk up prior to sanding. This ironing thing seems to work pretty well for the big stuff. I guess I was just concerned that it was such a, well, "girl" way to resolve the problem, that there must be something wrong with it.
Anyway, we've decided to use the Citristrip once we get the big chunks ironed off the floor. No cloggy sander mess for these two first timers!!
Thanks for answering. I'm sure I'll be back several times as we approach the kitchen with a dropped ceiling (to be removed), vinyl flooring to be laid over haint green kitchen flooring, wallpaper to be removed,etc.
I did re-learn a lesson my father taught me a long time ago. Always buy the best paint. He was definitely right about that.
