Insulation question

Posted by Rick on February 7th, 2003 09:11 AM

Hello everyone,
My ranch style home has a 18 ft ceiling in my living room. When I am in the attic ,the walls to this room are not insulated, they are exposed to the attic conditions. I am wondering if I use fiberglass insulation which way does the vapor barrier go? THe living room gets exceeding hot in the summer (above 10ft) and I know the barrier is suposed to go towards the heated room, but my attic gets hot as well in the summer. Would the fiberglass be more exposed to moisture from the attic or from the room?? Thank you for your answers. Rick
