insulating attic

Posted by jim on January 6th, 2001 09:34 PM

I am considering adding more insulation to my attic.
I currently have kraft faced insulation inside the attic but
in the winter my house feel a bit colder and I
have to set my thermostat to 71degrees. In the summer months
it gets extremely HOT on in the house.
My question is this:
What should I place down as added insulation?
1.blown in fiberglass
2.blown in celluose
3.kraft faced insulation again over top of the old insulation.

I hear all the pros and cons of fiberglass vs. cellouse
but just want the facts on efficancy.
Will the fiberglass and cellouse really settle that much?
