Insulating a crawlspace.

Posted by Pam on January 9th, 2002 02:20 PM

My den is the only part of my house that is not over the basement. It is freezing in there. I had an insulation contractor come out the other day and he said the crawlspace under the den is not insulated properly but it is not big enough for a man to fit under to lay the plastic sheeting and the insulation. Great.

I am having wood flooring put in and was wondering. What if the wood flooring guy was willing to rip up the subfloor? Couldn't someone apply the proper insulation then? What do you think IS the PROPER insulation?

I sure could use some advice on this one.
