Just make sure that the new posts are pressure treated, and that they sit on a well placed pier block. You want to cut the new post a SKINCH long to account for settling of the pier block, and use a hydraulic floor jack (for cars, not floors) to lift the joist 1/8-1/4" in order to install the post. Be very careful when you do this.
