Of the doorway, let the floor set on 1/2 of the edge of the footing and let the driveway apron set on the other 1/2 of the footing. Still use an expansion joint. That way, the driveway can float up but not down below the level of the floor. Some parts of the country do not put a footing across the front edge of the floor, so this may not be possible. I agree with DSD, do not pin it. Frost will heave the drive up and either break the pins or the floor/driveway.
