In reply to My leather shoes are scuffed up, can I paint them too? by Jim -ATS on April 10th, 2000 05:26 PM [Go to top of thread]

I recently was shopping with a friend who wanted to change the color of his oven from 50's bronze to white. In the spray paint section of Menard's, right next to the type used for high-heat appliances, we found a type of spray paint that is also used for vinyl--as I recall, it showed barstools on the cover of the can. Whether this could be used on old leather as well, I don't know, but if you're dead set on trying this option, I suppose you could give it a go and see what happens. Personally, I love leather furniture, and would rather see you try the reconditioning route first. But that's just me.
