I'm with pb on this, if you can afford to live there, you can afford the repairs. Treat it like an occasional hazard and budget for it. The golfers will treat your house like a hazard, but sometimes hazards just attract golf balls. I always aim for the middle of the fairway and then hook or slice.
Good luck and enjoy. You could build a fort around the house and man it with anti-aircraft batteries. Don't be like the people who move out by the airport and then complain about the noise or else move out by the city dump and then complain about the trash or move out by the city sewer plant and complain about the smell. My response to those people is that they knew about it to start with.
