Hi Barbara,

... You may need to have the doors cut. Hopefully, they aren't metal or glass as it may be incredibly difficult or impossible to do.

When we bought our 22 year old home, it came with steel doors. New carpeting in the bedroom prevented the continued use of steel doors. We ended up buying bi-fold mirrored doors. They came with top and bottom tracking. The BOTTOM tracking is 1" high whereas the TOP tracking is 1/2" high. If you ever get new doors with tracking, just make sure you put the 1" strip on the FLOOR. If you do it the other way around, you won't be able to open your doors on the carpet. As an aside, I like the tracking better because the doors 'hang' better (IMO). Here, BOTH folds have a 'pin/guide' to keep it on track. It's a personal preference. They 'feel' more like a door than a curtain. Stanley makes the door and the hardware. If you end up buying new doors and they don't come w/tracking, before you actually buy them, ctc the mfgr. for info on getting tracking (if you want it) or if they make a door w/tracking to your liking. Also, check w/other mfgrs. until you get the type and style of door you want.

My best to ya and hope this helps.
