The Icemaker is not working in my 15-month old Kenmore Coldspot side-by-side refridgerator (model number 106.52293100). The applicance has the icemaker located up top inside the freezer compartment. The problem is that the icemaker is not producing ice, although cold water still is flowing. I know this because we can still draw a glass of water from the recess in the front side of the freezer door. The indicator light for "filter replacement" has been lit on the indicator panel located inside the refridgerator proper. Would a "bad" filter cause ice to stop forming, or is some other problem the cause here. Unfortunately, we cannot locate the instruction manual for the refridgerator, so I cannot consult it to troubleshoot for repairs.
